Peter Chiarelli and the Boston Bruins announced that they have released 14 players from their training camp roster, with No. 9 overall pick Dougie Hamilton highlighting the group.
In addition to Hamilton, who will return to the OHL's Niagara Ice Dogs, the Bruins released Andrew Bodnarchuk, Ryan Button, Marc Cantin, Carter Camper, Craig Cunningham, John Hennessy, Kirk MacDonald, Nathan McIver, Kevan Miller and Jamie Tardif, who will all report to the Providence Bruins (AHL) training camp.
Andrew Khokhlachev, Jared Knight and Ryan Spooner will all return to their respective OHL teams. Khokhlachev will go back to the Windsor Spitfires, Knight returns to the London Knights and Spooner goes to the Kingston Frontenacs.
The B's have two practice sessions scheduled for Saturday, with the first group practicing at 8:30 a.m. EDT and the second group starting practice at 10:15 a.m.
