Tim Thomas, Patrice Bergeron and the Boston Bruins made a statement on Saturday night, winning Game 1 of their best of seven semifinal series with the Philadelphia Flyers, 7-3.
However, that doesn't mean that Thomas and Bergeron have put on cruise control. They know that the Flyers are talented and can come back in any situation, including down 3-0 in the series, like they did last season.
"Philly's known for their comebacks, even within games, so you've always got to be on your toes," Tim Thomas, who gave up three goals on the other end, said after the contest.
"It's only one game, and yeah, they will bounce back," Patrice Bergeron, who had three assists in the victory, said. "We're going to make sure we're ready for that." (via WEEI)
Philadelphia hosts Boston in Game 2 of the series at Wells Fargo Center on Monday night. The series then shifts to TD Garden in Boston for Game 2 on Wednesday and Game 3 on Friday.
