Zdeno Chara Will Reportedly Play Against Canadiens On Saturday

Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara will reportedly play against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night in game two of the two teams' quarterfinal series in the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs, according to a report from ESPN Boston.

"He's gonna give it a go," said the source. (via ESPN Boston)    

Chara was hospitalized on Friday night for dehydration, but Bruins head coach Claude Julien did not expect him to miss the game.

"Until our medical staff tells me he can't go, he's in tonight," Julien said Saturday morning. "Until somebody tells me he can't go tonight, he's playing. I'm certainly not going to be the guy making the final decision, our medical people are, but they have yet to tell me that he can't go." (via ESPN Boston)

The 6'9" defenseman from Trencin, Czechoslovakia had 14 goals, 30 assists, 44 points and a plus/minus of plus-33 in 81 regular season games this season.
