Bruins forward Tyler Seguin was scratched just before the game tonight after GM Peter Chiarelli said he missed a team meeting and club breakfast. Forward Jordan Caron took his place in the lineup.
However, the Bruins ended the first period down by one. Winnipeg forward Andrew Ladd netted his ninth goal of the season with less than two minutes left in the period.
Both teams managed to stay disciplined, though the Jets did get sent to the penalty box once. Jim Slater went for slashing at the start of the period, but the Bruins couldn't convert. They took 10 shots on net and allowed 11 through on Rask.
This is the second time this season the Bruins have given up the first goal to the Jets. Last game, the B's allowed the first two goals in the first period before coming back in the second and eventually took the 4-2 win.
