Bruins Vs. Penguins Final Score: Boston Skates Past Pittsburgh 3-1

NHL action between the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins, emanating from the CONSOL Energy Center on Monday night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has come to a close.

So too, has the Penguins two-game winning streak.

The Bruins scored two goals in the second period courtesy of Gregory Campbell and Benoit Pouliot, then made it a three point game when Tyler Seguin (assisted by Patrice Bergeron and Rich Peverley) scored a 13-foot wristshot just over a minute into the third period.

The Penguins tried to put something together late in the final frame but it was just too little, too late. Matt Cooke (assisted by Joe Vitale) found the net halfway through the period but all that did was prevent the shutout.

Boston improves to 17-7-1 with the victory while Pittsburgh falls to 16-8-4 in defeat.
