Bruins Schedule: Boston Travels To Play Dallas On Saturday

The Bruins travel to Dallas on Saturday to play the Stars.

The Boston Bruins (24-9-1) travel to Texas this weekend to play the Dallas Stars (20-15-1) on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. (TV: NESN).

The Northeast Division-leading Bruins carry a seven-game win streak into the game. The Stars by contrast, have lost the last two and have only won two of their last six games. This is the first and only game of the season against the Stars for Boston. The Bruins have been very good on the road this season with a record of 11-3-0. Dallas is 11-6-1 at home this season.

Expect to see Tim Thomas in net for the Bruins. After missing the last two games, Boston forward Rich Peverley is hoping to make his return to action on Saturday. The Bruins did not practice on Friday.

After the game against the Stars, the Bruins are off until Jan. 4 when they take on New Jersey at the Prudential Center (7:30 p.m., TV: Versus). Click here to see the full Bruins 2011-2012 schedule.
