Bruins Vs. Coyotes: Still Tied After Two Periods Of Play

The Boston Bruins and Phoenix Coyotes remain tied 1-1 after two periods of play in Phoenix. Neither team managed to break the stalemate in the second frame.

The Coyotes had the man advantage for two minutes late in the period after Johnny Boychuck was called for tripping Phoenix defenseman Shane Doan.

Phoenix out-shot Boston by a margin of eight-to-seven. The margin was wider before the Bruins put three shots on net in the final minute of play in the period. Joe Corvo leads the Bruins with four shots on net.

The Bruins entered Wednesday night with a seven-point lead over Toronto in the Northeast Division, and one point behind the New York Rangers for first place in the Eastern Conference. The Rangers are in Washington, while Toronto has the night off.

The Bruins continue a swing through the West with a game in Dallas on Saturday, Dec. 31.
