Bruins Vs. Coyotes: Tuukka Rask Expected To Get Second Consecutive Start

The Boston Bruins are expected to ride the hot streak of goaltender Tuukka Rask when they visit the Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday night.

WEEI reports that Rask was the first goalie off the ice during Wednesday's shootaround, a sign that he will start for the second consecutive game. Though it's abnormal for the Bruins to sit Tim Thomas more than one game at a time, Rask is riding a shutout streak that has extended to 155:10, including two consecutive shutouts, the last being Boston's 8-0 win against Florida on Friday night.

The Bruins have been off since then and Thomas would normally be in line to start Wednesday night, but the Bruins appear content to ride Rask's hot handat least against the Coyotes. Thomas will presumably return to the lineup on Saturday against the Dallas Stars after a layoff lasting almost two weeks.

Rask has been great this year, boasting a 7-4-1 record with a 1.66 goals-against average and a league-leading .944 save percentage.
