Bruins Vs. Blue Jackets: B's Hope To Avoid Sting Of Third Straight Loss

For the first time in over a month, the Bruins are facing a 2-game losing streak, and are hoping to stop it against the Columbus Blue Jackets before it gets out of hand.

Both teams are coming off disappointing defeats on Thursday--the Bruins were shutout for the second time this season, and have only one goal in the last two games. Columbus on the other hand allowed two goals in the last two minutes of regulation to give Nashville momentum going into overtime. Nashville won 1:45 into the extra time. \

Columbus (8-16-4) comes into this game as the worst team in the league, though they gave the Bruins a run for their money last time out. Back on November 17, the prime of the B's winning streak in November, the Blue Jackets were the first team to really try the Bruins offense. Boston ended up winning 2-1 in a shootout.

Now the Black and Gold (17-9-1) are hoping the third game doesn't turn their losing streak into a trend. They hold third place in the Eastern Conference, sitting behind Philadelphia and Florida.

Though Tim Thomas has gone 10-1-0 in his last eleven games, he is 0-1-1 against the Blue Jackets with a 2.95 GAA.
