For everyone that ever yelled "Thank you, Kessel" at a Bruins and Maple Leafs game, Tyler Seguin has given you even more reason to shout.
Seguin recorded his first ever NHL hat trick, fittingly at the Air Canada Centre. After putting his team up 1-0 in the first, just 34 seconds into the second frame, he tipped a puck out of the air from a Patrice Bergeron pass and over the shoulder of Scrivens, putting them up 2-0 very early.
But that wasn't even the half of it.
Eight seconds later, Milan Lucic netted his own goal.
As if it wasn't impressive enough scoring two goals within the first minute of the period, the Bruins did it again later in the period. Seguin took it through the neutral zone and netted his third of the game. David Krejci followed 14 seconds later, and put one last one past Scrivens before he was chased from net.
Patrice Bergeron recorded an assist on each Seguin goal, and Lucic has a goal and an assist in tonight's game.
