Bruins Vs. Jets: B's Hope For New Winning Streak Tonight Against Winnipeg

Dennis Seidenberg mentioned that today was just a new opportunity to start a new winning streak for the Bruins, and they hope it starts against former teammates Blake Wheeler and Mark Stuart.

After a 3-2 shootout loss last night to the Detroit Red Wings, none of the Bruins in the locker room hung their head or were disappointed with their efforts. In fact, they were in good spirits and eager to get out tonight and play against the Winnipeg Jets for the first time this season.

Former Bruins Blake Wheeler and Mark Stuart will be returning to TD Garden for the first time since the B's won the Cup. Both were traded away to Atlanta in February for Rich Peverley and Boris Valabik. But you can bet you won't hear "Thank you Wheeler" chants if Peverley scores, because Wheeler was a fan favorite and had a solid couple seasons with the Bruins.

Tim Thomas will be in net tonight, and has a lifetime 6-3-2 record against the franchise. The Bruins have also won the past eight games at home against this team.

The game will be aired live on NESN and CBC and the puck drops at 7 p.m. EDT.
