Andrew Ference Ruled Out Of Bruins-Sabres

A lower-body injury will force Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference to sit Saturday when the Bruins host the Buffalo Sabrescoach Claude Julien said Friday.

Ference left Thursday's game against the Edmonton Oilers early in the second period and did not return. Steven Kampfer is expected to take his spot in the lineup.

Daniel Paille is still listed as day-to-day after surgery to repair a broken nose suffered when he was struck in the face with a slap shot. Paille said that Islanders defenseman Steve Staios, who took the slap shot Monday during Boston's 6-2 win against New York, visited the Bruins locker room after the game to apologize and make sure Paille was alright.

Rich Peverley practice Friday, but is still being evaluated.

The Bruins take a four-game winning streak into the Buffalo meeting, and have scored at least five goals in each of the four consecutive wins.
