Bruins vs. Senators: Bruins Find Legs, Net Two Goals In the Period

The Bruins found the fire in the second period and notched two goals

Chris Kelly gave a little extra something to his former team, netting his third goal of the season and giving the Bruins lead going into the third period.

His goal came after a Peverley pass found him alone in the slot where one timed it past Craig Andersson.

Begreron put the tying goal in, again from the slot with a drop-back pass from Tyler Seguin.

The Senators added three more penalties to their total, giving the Bruins a lot of time to move the puck with the extra man. Though the Bruins are only 1-for-5, they have looked more solid and seem to have gained a little more confidence with the special teams. Meanwhile the Bruins have held the Senators to just 16 shots in two periods, and haven't allowed a goal yet on the PK.

Bruins will start the third period with 1:15 left on Neil's penalty left over from the second period.
