Bruins Vs Sharks: San Jose Doubles Lead To 2-0 After Second Period

BOSTON - Logan Couture scored the only goal of the second period as the San Jose Sharks doubled their lead to 2-0 over the Boston Bruins as the middle period came to an end on Saturday afternoon at TD Garden.

Couture's goal was his first of the season and was assisted by Martin Havlat and Ryane Clowe at the 8:54 mark of the second period. Boston holds a 23-21 advantage in shots through two periods.

While the Bruins didn't have as many chances in the second period as they did in the first, there were still a few plays that could have been turned into a goal. In reality, based on the missed opportunities in this game, the Bruins should be tied 2-2 or even have a lead. But that's not the case, and the B's have a hole to dig themselves out of with 20 minutes left.
