Boston Bruins forward David Krejci, who suffered an undisclosed injury on Oct. 11 while practicing in Wilmington, will be sidelined until Saturday, when he is expected to be re-evaluated for this weekend’s game against the Blackhawks.
The severity of the injury is not known, but Krejci will remain in Boston for medical testing while the team travels to Carolina for Wednesday night’s game.
Today’s news comes on the heels of Rich Peverley’s new three-year contract extension, which is not the only roster change announced in the past 24 hours.
Earlier in the day, the Bruins’ brass brought word that Defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk and center Josh Hennessy have been taken off the injured/non-roster list, cleared waivers, and have been assigned to Providence (AHL) while Forward Yannick Riendeau has been assigned to Reading (ECHL).
