Bruins vs. Avalanche: Still Scoreless After Two Periods

40 minutes of hockey have been played and neither team has managed to get it past the opposing netminder. Colorado leads in shots, 26-18, but the Bruins have also provided some quality scoring opportunities.

Boston's second line of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and Rich Peverley has been the most exciting line to watch for the Bruins. Marchand has been a pest in front of the net and along him with Bergeron has been the Bruins best chance at putting a number on the scoreboard.

The Avalanche are still trying to get their first goal of the season, but Tuukka Rask is trying his hardest to not indulge them. He has stopped 26 shots through two periods, and has looked comfortable in the pipes thus far.

And Semyon Varlamov hasn't looked too shabby either. He's stopped all 18 of the Bruins shots including a toe save late in the second.
