The Boston Bruins sent six players down to its farm team in Providence on Wednesday morning, reducing their roster to 25.
Joe Colborne, Zach Hamill, Steve Kampfer, Jeff LoVecchio, Jeremy Reich and Wyatt Smith were sent to the AHL’s Providence Bruins.
This group of cuts includes several players who had played strongly during Bruins camp. Reich had scored during Tuesday’s preseason game loss to the Washington Capitals. Kampfer had been singled out several times due to his defensive playmaking.
