Bergeron Leads the Bruins Over Liberec, 7-1

Patrice Bergeron and Tim Thomas gave strong performances to lead the Boston Bruins to a 7-1 win over Liberec White Tigers on Tuesday.

Bergeron had two goals and three assists in the win, despite telling the Bruins' official website that he was tired beforehand. "I got my legs under me and in the second period I felt a lot better," he told John Bishop of BostonBruins.com.

Thomas held the White Tigers to one goal on the evening in the second period, which was caused by a turnover by Johnny Boychuk. Several reports point to Thomas making strong saves in an inspired performance, making an effort to win back the starting goaltender job from Tukka Rask.

Jordan Caron, Tyler Seguin, Nathan Horton, Blake Wheeler and Greg Campbell joined Bergeron on the scoresheet on the evening.

The Bruins will get ready for their first regular season game of the season against the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday.
