Boston Bruins forward Marc Savard took the ice prior to the Bruins’ practice Tuesday morning, skating with fellow injured reserve member Marco Sturm.
According to Boston.com’s Fluto Shinzawa, Savard skated with a shield this morning. He skated last week as well, undergoing shooting drills with the Bruins conditioning staff, according to Joe McDonald of ESPNBoston.com. Last week, Savard discussed his status with McDonald, saying that while skating was encouraging, he’s not suiting up just yet:
“I’m obviously feeling better because I’m out skating,” Savard told ESPNBoston.com on Tuesday after his skate. “That’s good news, but I’m still definitely not 100 percent.”
