BCS Rankings 2012, Week 11: Florida State, Clemson represent ACC in top 25

Two ACC teams stayed steady in the top 25 of the standings, with No. 10 Florida State dropping a spot while No. 13 Clemson held on to its spot from the week before.

An idle Florida State team fell a spot, but the ACC's two teams in the BCS standings more or less stayed steady after Week 10.

The big story in the Week 11 standings was Oregon, which rose from No. 3 to No. 4 with an impressive 62-51 victory over USC in the Coliseum. They swapped spots with Notre Dame, which needed a remarkable comeback and three overtimes to beat Pitt, 29-26, in a game the Fighting Irish nearly lost on a just-wide-right field goal attempt. Alabama and Kansas State stayed in the top two spots by handling their business, the Crimson Tide scoring late to beat LSU, who fell to No. 7 with their second loss of the year.

Florida State dropped one spot, from No. 9 to No. 10, passed by Louisville, which lambasted Temple in a 45-17 rout. Clemson destroyed Duke 56-20, but didn't improve from No. 13. The SEC continues to dominate the standings, with five teams in the top 10 for the second week.
