Boston College (2-6) visits the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday as the Eagles look to build on their 20-17 win over Maryland last week. The victory over the Terps snapped a five-game losing streak for B.C. and was their first over an FBS opponent in 2012.
Quarterback Chase Rettig led the Eagles in the win, completed 21 of 39 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns. Rettig hit Johnathan Coleman for the game-winning score with just 52 seconds left to propel Boston College to victory.
The Demon Deacons dropped to 4-4 after a 42-13 loss to Clemson last week. Wake Forest has two conference victories in six tries this season. They have a winning record overall in home games, taking three of five in Winston-Salem.
The Eagles lead the overall series 10-7-2. Wake Forest won the last meeting between the two schools in 2011, taking a 27-19 victory in Chestnut HIll.
