With the season dwindling to a close, Boston College will host visiting Virginia Tech on Saturday at Alumni Stadium for an ACC conference clash

With the season dwindling to a close, (2-8) Boston College will host visiting (4-6) Virginia Tech at Alumni Stadium in what will be the Eagles' final home game of the college football season and second to last game of the year.

The ACC conference clash on Saturday will be between two teams without a shot in the dark to win their respective division. Virginia Tech will enter Saturday's game at 2-4 in conference play, which is one better than Boston College's 1-5 conference record.

The key for the Eagles will be how well they play in pass defense. Hokies quarterback Logan Thomas is Virginia Tech's top weapon and some considered the junior quarterback to be the pre-season Heisman favorite. He's struggled mightily this season, throwing at least one interception in all but two games this season, but some considered Thomas to be the pre-season Heisman favorite and one of the top picks in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Date and Time: Saturday, Nov. 17, 12:30 p.m. ET

Location: Alumni Stadium, Chestnut Hill, MA

TV: ACC Network/ESPN3/Watch ESPN

Odds: Boston College opened as 8.5-point home underdogs and currently stand at 9.5-point underdogs.
