The Boston College Eagles will seek their second win of the season against the Army Black Knights.

In the first weekend of October, the 2012 college football season heats up with some key contests.

The Boston College Eagles will be on the road Saturday when they take on the Army Black Knights. The Eagles have had a tough stretch to start the campaign at 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the ACC. However, a win would draw them one step closer to .500. Army has also had its share of struggles, beginning the season 0-4.

The UConn Huskies will also be traveling in hopes of taking down the undefeated Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The Huskies have been inconsistent, alternating wins and losses to the tune of a 3-2 mark. Connecticut is looking for better play from sophomore quarterback Chandler Whitmer, who's thrown six interceptions in the first five games.

Other non-local contests to watch are a pair of SEC matchups, which feature the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs against the sixth-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks and the No. 4 LSU Tigers tangling with the No. 10 Florida Gators.
