Once again, Alabama is alone at the top of the Coaches Poll – and Boston College and UConn are on the outside looking in.

Alabama earned 59 first-place votes to stay atop the rankings. Oregon is second once again, with Kansas State jumping from No. 5 last week to No. 3 this week.

Boston College is coming off a 51-7 loss to Florida State on Saturday. The Eagles are 1-5 and have lost four in a row.

UConn lost to Temple, 17-14, on Saturday. Temple kicked a 29-yard field goal in overtime to secure the win and hand the Huskies (3-4, 0-2) their second consecutive loss.
