Former Connecticut Huskies defensive tackle Kendall Reyes has been selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers, the No. 49-overall pick. Reyes, a native of Nashua, N.H., becomes the 23rd draft pick in the history of the UConn program, which moved to the Football Bowl Subdivision as recently as 2002.
