Northeastern vs. Bentley score update: Huskies, Falcons finish first period in 1-1 tie

BOSTON - In just the fourth all-time meeting between the Northeastern Huskies and Bentley Falcons at Matthews Arena, the two Massachusetts non-conference foes played to a very entertaining first period that saw each side find the back of the net once. The Huskies were the first to score in the contest and also held a 16-9 advantage in shots on goal over the first 20 minutes.

The Huskies jumped ahead to a 1-0 lead at 3:05 as junior Cody Ferriero continued his torrid scoring pace with a rebound goal right on the crease of Benley junior Branden Komm. Stellar rookie Kevin Roy took the intial shot on goal through traffic, but Ferriero was on the spot to lift the puck into the goal for his fifth goal in 41:43 of game time.

Bentley's prolific top line responded to knot the score just over three minutes later as junior Brett Gensler fed sophomore Alex Grieve in front for the one-time - his seventh goal of the season, which also extended his point streak to four straight games.
