Boston College vs. Yale score update: Eagles, Elis tied 3-3 after second period

CHESTNUT HILL - The Yale Bulldogs' road dominance continued at Kelley Rink as they allowed a goal at the beginning and end of the stanza to finish the second period in a 3-3 tie.

The Eagles doubled their lead at 5:31 of the stanza as freshman Brendan Silk beat Yale senior Jeff Malcolm with a beautiful goal that will surely end up on the season-ending highlight tape. The Wakefield, Mass. native led the right wing rush and followed up his own initial shot with a sweet backhand from the goal line.

Things went south for the hosts in the second period as senior Parker Milner allowed three consecutive goals, putting Yale on top 3-2. Senior Colin Dueck had the first tally of the contest for the Elis and his first of the season at the 5:48 mark, firing a long shot that found the back of the net through a screen.

Ryan Obuchowski scored his first-collegiate goal with 8:23 left in the stanza, taking advantage of a turnover and beating Milner low through his pads. Senior captain Andrew Miller put the visitors ahead at 7:10 left as he took the puck off a cross-ice pass and put his sixth goal of the year past Milner with a wicked snipe shot over the shoulder.

BC closed the period by tying the score at 3-3 with 3:27 left as senior Steven Whitney fired a shot from the high slot that deflected off a stick in front to beat Malcolm.
