UConn Vs. N.C. State Final Score: Huskies Downed By Wolfpack, 10-7

Chandler Whitmer was erratic for the UConn Huskies, throwing three interceptions despite topping the 100 passing yard plateau, and the N.C. State Wolfpack squeaked out a 10-7 victory on Saturday afternoon at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT.

Whitmer finished 15-of-27 for 204 yards and did not throw an interception for the second straight week. Lyle McCombs, who rushed for the Huskies' lone touchdown of the game (a five-yard scoring rush with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter), had 60 rushing yards on 20 carries. Nick Williams had three catches for 59 yards for the Huskies (1-1).

Mike Glennon completed 15-of-30 passes and recorded 204 passing yards and one touchdown pass. Quintin Payton had three grabs for 48 yards and both Tobais Palmer and Bryan Underwood had 46 receiving yards. Underwood had the touchdown catch for N.C. State, taking a 46-yard pass from Glennon to the house with 8:34 left in the third quarter.

UConn travels south to face the Maryland Terrapins at Byrd Stadium next Saturday.
