Boston College Vs. Clemson score update: Tigers lead Eagles 38-28 entering fourth quarter

The Clemson Tigers scored two touchdowns in the third quarter, stretching a 3-point halftime lead to a 38-28 advantage over the Boston College Eagles entering the fourth quarter.

Clemson drove 57 yards in eight plays early in the third quarter, scoring on a Roderick McDowell 16-yard rush. The Tigers scored eight minutes later, as Andre Ellington ran in from 1 yard out.

Boston College did get on the board late in the quarter, as quarterback Chase Rettig connected with Alex Amidon on a 42-yard touchdown pass. Rettig is 16-of-27 passing on the day, for 268 yards and three touchdowns, with one interception. Amidon has caught seven of those passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Tajh Boyd has been solid for Clemson at quarterback, completing 22 of 30 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception. Boyd also has a touchdown and 31 yards on the ground.
