The UConn Huskies will stay in the non-conference in Week 5 on Saturday with a matchup against the Buffalo Bulls. The Huskies are coming off a loss to another MAC opponent, falling to Western Michigan, 30-24. Buffalo enters the game at Rentschler Field with extended rest after a mid-week loss to Kent State and they'll look to pull even to 2-2.
Despite their most recent loss to a MAC squad, UConn is still significant double-digit favorites over the Bulls. The Huskies are currently favored by 17 points. Buffalo enters with one of the stronger rushing attacks in the FBS, statistically, through the first four weeks. But the UConn defense had been a strong point of the team, limiting opponents to about 15 points per game.
This will be UConn's final non-confernece game of the season, as the calendar turns to October and Big East play starts up. Kickoff is scheduled for noon and the game will be available via livestream on ESPN3. SNY and MASN will also carry the broadcast regionally in the east.
