The Red Sox will start their second-to-last series of the year Friday night as they take on the Orioles in Camden Yards. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. EST with broadcast s on NESN and WEEI.
The Red Sox lineup is the usual, lacking Jacoby Ellsbury and everyone else who's found themselves injured leading up to this point. The Orioles are the ones with a more interesting change tonight, as Taylor Teagarden takes over behind the plate for Matt Wieters.
The reason for Wieters' absence is a happy one, however: he's a new father! Wife Maria Wieters delivered the couple's first child, Maverick Luther Wieters, in the early hours of Friday morning.
If you're going to miss a game, I can think of few better reasons.
