FedEx Cup Standings 2012: Brandt Snedeker Jumps McIlroy And Woods To Win FedEx Cup

Brandt Snedeker won the Tour Championship with a 3-under 68 on Sunday, but the win also secured him a much bigger prize. With the win, Snedeker jumped five places to claim the FedEx Cup title as well.

The FedEx Cup comes with a $10 million first place prize. Combine that with the $1.44 million he won for the Tour Championship victory and Snedeker earned $11.44 million this weekend. Snedeker began the final tournament of the year in fifth place in the FedEx Cup, but his win, coupled with the struggles of a few of the leaders, was enough for him to jump to the top of the pack.

Rory McIlroy entered the Tour Championship as the FedEx Cup leader, but he finished second to Snedeker. As a consolation prize, McIlroy took home $3 million in second place prize money. Tiger Woods received $2 million for his third place finish.

Vermont native Keegan Bradley dropped seven spots in the FedEx Cup standings, finishing in 21st place.
