Tour Championship 2012 Purse: Brandt Snedeker Brings Home $11.4 Million

Brandt Snedeker was a pretty rich guy before Sunday afternoon, but he just got a whole heck of a lot richer. After winning the Tour Championship and, as a result, also winning the FedEx Cup, he will be cashing a novelty check for $11.44 million; he gets $1.44 million for winning the Tour Championship, and $10 million for winning the FedEx Cup.

Snedeker now finishes the year with $14,989,739 in winnings, which is a comical amount of cash. I don't know if he's married, but if he's not, he just may well be soon. Vermont native Keegan Bradley finished tied for 23rd and earned $140,800, bringing his yearly earnings to $3.9 million.

Rory McIlroy got $3 million for coming in second place in the FedEx Standings and Tiger Woods received $2 million for third place. Justin Rose netted $864,000 for finishing in second place in the tournament, while Luke Donald and Ryan Moore got $468,000 a pop for finishing tied for third.
