The Red Sox will try to dodge the home sweep at the hands of the Orioles as they send Felix Doubront to the mound against Chris Tillman. First pitch is at 1:35 p.m. EST with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
At first, it seemed like Jacoby Ellsbury was ready to make his return to the starting lineup for the first time in four days. Now, however, a new lineup is out, and so is Ellsbury, with Scott Podsednik taking over his duties in center field. Podsednik and Ciriaco will form the makeshift leadoff combination for the Sox, leaving Dustin Pedroia and Cody Ross as the 3-4.
The Orioles, meanwhile, will be without Jim Thome just one day after he made his return from a lengthy DL stint.
