UConn Vs. Western Michigan Score: Huskies Trail 17-7 At Half

The Western Michigan Broncos have jumped out to an early lead over UConn, as the Huskies trail, 17-7, at halftime.

So far, the Broncos passing attack has proven too tough for the Huskies defense. Alex Carder has thrown 15 completions for 193 yards and no interceptions for Western Michigan.

The Broncos have scored on a pair of rushing touchdowns from Antoin Scriven and Dareyon Chance, but the UConn defense has done a good job of limiting Western Michigan to only 36 yards on the ground.

The Huskies added their touchdown with just 2:36 remaining in the first half. Chandler Whitmer passed to Ryan Griffin for a 9-yard score. This capped off a 12-play, 66-yard drive. Lyle McCombs is leading the way for UConn on the ground with 48 yards on 13 carries.
