The Red Sox will look to even their series against the Orioles up at one game a piece as they send Aaron Cook to the mound against Randy Wolf. First pitch is at 1:10 p.m. EST with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
The Sox will again be without Jacoby Ellsbury, whose injury "situation" persists. He's in the outfield throwing balls, and came in midway through the first start he missed, so it can't be serious. But it's certainly not helpful for a Red Sox team with a lineup that's thin even with their center fielder healthy.
Scott Podsednik will be the one getting he nod to replace Ellsbury in center this time, batting ninth. Ryan Lavarnway, owner of a .515 OPS, will slot in the fourth spot as Cody Ross moves up to third and Dustin Pedroia takes over second in Ellsbury's place.
