New England Patriots offensive lineman Brian Waters has still not reported to the team, according to head coach Bill Belichick.
Waters has missed all of training camp and the preseason for the Patriots. Belichick had previously said that Waters had team permission to miss training camp. Between the regular season and the playoffs, the 35-year-old guard played all 19 games for New England last season. Waters is not a stranger to playing without much of a warm-up. When he signed with the Patriots last season after spending his entire career with the Chiefs, Waters had just a week to prepare before the first regular season game was played.
During Waters' absence, veteran center Dan Connolly has been projected to start at right guard. Connolly played 13 regular season games (11 starts) for the Patriots last season.
