The 2012 U.S. Open turns a week old Sunday, and to celebrate the occasion the tournament will hold its most anticipated match yet, when American Andy Roddick will face Italy's Fabio Fognini in a third-round match starting at 1:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Roddick, who announced this will be his last major tournament earlier in the week, will be trying to hold off retirement for at least one more round.
The contest will follow No. 2-seeded Novak Djokovic squaring off against No. 31 Julien Benneteau, which gets underway at 11 a.m. ET. Meanwhile, American John Isner, the No. 9 seed, will face Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber in a primetime match, which should start around 8 p.m. ET.
On the women's side, No. 1 seed Victoria Azarenka will play Anna Tatishvili at Arthur Ashe Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET. No. 3 Maria Sharapova will take on No. 19 Nadia Petrova at 7 p.m. (Tennis Channel).
