Bobby Valentine, what in the world are you doing? We all know that things aren't going well in Red Sox land as of late -- they have a 62-72 record (and are roughly 15 games out in the AL East) -- but as the manager, you have to at least appear like you care. For that reason, this answer that you gave to a question about your curious lineup is absolutely (in which you had left fielder Scott Podsednik, who has 42 career home runs in 1,056 games, batting third for the first time in his career) unacceptable.
"Just a mistake," Valentine said in response to his deployment of Podsednik. "Is that what it says on the lineup? What the (expletive)? Switch it up. Who knows. Maybe it will look good. I haven't seen it."
Man, oh, man. Bobby, start packing up your office.
