The USA women's basketball team continued their dominance in the 2012 London Olympics Tuesday, as they cruised past Canada 91-48 in a quarterfinal contest at the Olympic Park Basketball Arena. Former Connecticut Huskies star Diana Taurasi scored a game-high 15 points for Team USA, which will move on to face either Australia or China in the semifinals on Thursday.
The victory by the Geno Auriemma led squad improved USA's winning streak at the Olympic games to 39 games.
Other former Huskies such as captain Sue Bird played 21 minutes and dished out five assists, while Miami Moore tallied 11 points and collected seven rebounds. Swin Cash ended the game with three points, Tina Charles had two and Asjha Jones added a blocked shot.
