Revolution Vs. Chivas Update: Bolanos Strikes Quickly To Bring Chivas Level 3-3

The New England Revolution contrived to blow a three goal lead against Chivas USA on Wednesday night as shades of Saturday's debacle against Columbus continue to prevail. Miller Bolanos capitalized on a now-typical Revolution error to draw the match level at 3-3.

A 47th-minute throw-in from a decent position became a dangerous attack when the Revolution again failed to pay attention to the ball when it was in the opponent's hands. The throw found an open and unmarked Juan Agudelo down by the corner flag, and the USA striker turned and played a long far-post cross toward rookie Casey Townsend. Townsend climbed over Kevin Alston and headed the ball back toward the middle of the box, where Bolanos waited, unmarked. The winger basically just needed to get a touch on the ball and he did, beating Matt Reis from what was essentially point-blank range.
