Big moves from Fenway Park, folks:
The Red Sox released a statement late Monday afternoon that Carl Crawford will undergo Tommy John surgery to repair a chronic torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow this Thursday. Crawford's recovery is expected to last seven to nine months.
↵Minutes later, the Red Sox also announced that pitching coach Bob McClure has been relieved of his coaching duties. Assistant pitching coach Randy Niemann, will assume the role for the rest of the 2012 season.
