2012 Olympics: Gabby Douglas Wins Women's Gymnastics All-Around Gold, Raisman Finishes 4th

Gabby Douglas took home the gold medal in the Women's Gymnastics All-Around Final, posting a final round score of 62.232 to give the United States their third consecutive gold medal in the event. Douglas finished three-tenths of a point ahead of silver medalist Viktoria Komova of Russia.

Douglas took the lead after the first rotation in the All-Around and never let anyone close in the rest of the competition. Douglas was dominant on the balance beam and the floor exercise, scoring 15.500 and 15.033 in respectively in each event.

With her victory, Douglas becomes the first American woman to win both the individual and team All-Around golds, and is the first African-American to win gold in the individual All-Around.

Aly Raisman finished in a tie with Russia's Aliya Mustafina for third place in the All-Around Final, but the Needham, Mass., native lost a tiebreaker and just missed out on the medal stand, finishing in fourth place.
