College Football Rankings 2012: UConn, Boston College Unranked In Preseason Coaches' Poll

The Boston College Eagles and the UConn Huskies were not among the 25 teams in the 2012 USA Today Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The 2012 USA Today Preseason Coaches' Poll was released earlier today, and both the UConn Huskies and the Boston College Eagles did not receive a vote in the inaugural poll of the 2012 season.

Boston College will face a total of four ranked opponents in the 2012 season, taking on Florida State (7th), Clemson (14th), Virginia Tech (20th) and Notre Dame (24th).

UConn doesn't have any ranked opponents on their schedule, but there are a number of teams the Huskies will face on the "Also Receiving Votes" category, taking Cincinnati, Louisville, USF and Rutgers this year.

LSU sits at No. 1 in the preseason poll, just barely beating out Alabama and Southern California. All three schools had at least 18 first place votes, and the three schools are just separated by 15 total votes.
