Red Sox Vs. Yankees: Saturday TV Schedule, Game Time And More

The Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees on Saturday afternoon, in the second of a three-game series in the Bronx, as the Red Sox look to crawl back toward .500 -- and the American League playoff picture.

On Friday, the Red Sox fell to the Yankees, 6-4, as the Yankees belted five home runs. Jon Lester will look to quiet New York's bats on Saturday afternoon, as he goes for his seventh win of the season.

Lester was dominant in his most recent outing, striking out 12 Indians in six innings, allowing just one run on three hits and two walks in a 14-1 rout of Cleveland on Sunday. Lester's numbers are still rather ugly for the season, as the southpaw is 6-10 with a 5.20 ERA, .277 BAA, and 1.37 WHIP.

New York will counter Lester with David Phelps, who will make his fourth start of the year. Through his first 57 innings of work this year, Phelps is 3-3, with a 2.53 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 59 strikeouts against 20 walks.

The first pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET at Yankee Stadium. Televised coverage can be found on FOX.
