The Red Sox will look to even up their series with the Baltimore Orioles as they send Aaron Cook to the mound against former Sox farmhand Miguel Gonzalez. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. EST with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
While the focus of Boston fans and media alike continues to lie on Jeff Passan's expose on the internal politics of the clubhouse, there are still games to be played, even if there aren't the best of players to play them. The Sox will deal with that particular issue tonight, as their lineup features a back-three of Mike Aviles, Scott Podsednik, and Nick Punto.
The front six looks much better, of course, featuring the usual selection of players against right-handed pitchers, but that is one ugly back three.
