Revolution Vs. Impact Update: Brilliant Sanna Nyassi Individual Effort Puts Montreal Ahead 1-0

The New England Revolution entertained the Montreal Impact on Sunday night hoping for their first win in five games, but instead find themselves in a familiar position: trailing. A brilliant individual effort from Sanna Nyassi resulted in a go-ahead goal, giving the Impact a 1-0 lead at Gillette Stadium.

Nyassi received the ball back in his own end and took off. The Gambian speedster took it over the center line unchallenged before A.J. Soares finally stepped to him. But a quick touch from the winger turned Soares far too easily, and Nyassi continued on. Chris Tierney tried to come across from his left-back position and tackle the ball off of Nyassi's feet, but again the Impact midfielder was too quick, nicking the ball away and finding himself clear in on goal. His drive caught the hand of Matt Reis but breezed through it and into the back of the net.
