London Olympics 2012: Team USA Sets World Record In Women's 4x100m Relay

Friday saw Team USA added to their leading medal total at the 2012 London Olympics, and they now stand with 95 total medals. China is second in the medal count with 81 medals and Russia comes in third with 59.

U.S. athletes earned a number of gold medals on Friday. Jordan Burroughs picked one up in the men's 74kg wrestling event, and the women's 4x100m relay track team earned a gold medal and set a new world record in their event. Tianna Madison, Allyson Felix, Bianca Knight and Carmelita Jeter have their name in the record books after a 40.82 second time. Other medals came from the men's 4x400m relay track team, who earned a silver, and Paige McPhearson, who picked up a bronze in the women's 67kg taekwondo event.

Team USA men's basketball was in action, defeating Argentina in a semifinal match by a score of 109-83. They move on to face Spain in Sunday's gold medal match.
