Big day for Sky today as Chris Froome won Stage 7 of the 2012 Tour de France, and Bradley Wiggins took over the overall tour lead and donned the famous yellow jersey.
Sky was dominant during the tour, and on the last climb of the day pulled away from the peloton. Only Cadel Evens, Vincenzo Nibali and Rein Taaramae were able to keep pace with the Sky team, but Evans was overtaken by Froome on the final ramp to claim the victory and the King of the Mountain standings. Evans finished in second place alongside Wiggins, who took the overall lead from sprinter Fabian Cancellara. Wiggins holds a 10 second lead over Evans as they head to Stage 8.
