Serena Williams won her fifth Wimbledon title Sunday at the All England Club, defeating Poland's Agnieska Radwanska in three sets, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2.
Williams was absolutely dominant in the first set, winning 87 percent of her first serve points in the first set. Serena looked like she was set to cruise to a straight set championship over Radwanska, but a short rain delay after the first set looked to settle Radwanska and starting attacking Williams in the second set. Radwanska was finally able to break Williams and force a third set.
Williams and Radwanska held serve through the first four games of the third set, but Williams was able to break Radwanska to take a 3-2 lead and from there cruised to a 6-2 third set win to clinch the championship.
With today's win, Williams now has 14 career Grand Slam titles, eight behind Steffi Graf's record 22 titles in the Open Era.
